Hi, for anyone who has sent there American Girl doll to the hospital, could you please give me a little review of how it all went? I am sending out Kailey to get a new head because I just recently discovered that her hair is, as they say, "poorly made." Do they ever do little extras, like tighten up a leg, clean skin, ect? Thanks!

Well, I sent my Today doll to the hospital, and it went just fine! When she came back, she had new legs, arms, and a new torso. They did her hair and tied with a blue ribbon. She came back in about a week. Hope this helps!

I've sent two girls to the hospital:
* Lindsey went in for a head replacement on AG's tab (eyelids were peeling!) and they did a great job, up to the shipping part. They placed the little balloon right by her face and not at her feel, so it left tow blue dots on her face. She will be "readmitted" this Saturday, again on their tab. Hoping for a better outcome.
* Samantha went in for a body lift (aka new torso) and she came back pristine.
Good luck on sending your girls in!

My Lindsey went in for a new head, and came back 16 days later in unbelievably great shape! I think it was worth every penny.
I insured her for $300 when I sent her out, knowing I'd want to replace her with a MIB version if she got lost. That made me feel a lot better.

Do some of you think you may have gotten a new doll?

I just noticed that our Kailey...still in original hair style, also has "bad" hair. It looks like it is coming out at the very top...I may be sending her in too!

Just be sure you ask for the string around her neck and not the plastic tie. My niece's bitty came back with the plastic and we were very upset. We later sent in her AGT Allison because of silver eye. We requested the string and she came back great! Good luck - I hope you will be happy with your results!

Thanks ladies! I am so nervous about sending Kailey in, but I know they will do an excellent job. I just hope they don't place the "Get Well" balloon on top of her face .
